Description
Good communication does not just happen – the skills must be developed and maintained. This training and related exercises will help team leaders to improve their communication skills and reduce misunderstandings.
Who should attend?
Supervisors and managers in technical or non-technical positions who are responsible for providing guidance and direction to employees in achieving overall organizational objectives.
Course Content
This course involves a series of group exercise and covers the following:
- Introduction
- Communication process
- Communication breakdown
- Barriers to good communication
- Communication skills
Specific Outcomes
Participants will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills including:
- Acknowledgment of the other person(s) or the situation
- Gathering information by asking direct questions
- Clarifying information by asking probing questions
Competence Assessment segment:
Competence assessment is done as part of the individual and group practices in the class.
Course Duration:
Two (2) days.
